Welcome on a journey of Being, Belonging, Becoming
Whether you’re a child at a Seedlings & Co. Nature Play or Bush Kindy, you get to enjoy a play-based educational program tailored to your particular needs. Our educators will be at your side, carefully looking out for any special interests or needs that you might have. We will let you develop at your pace, using the learning styles that suit you best.
Registered with the Department of Education & Training, we incorporate the Early Learning Framework in our activities. Arts, language, music and many types of problem-solving games will be part of your everyday life here. But you will also enjoy a deeper connection to nature and the Indigenous and international community. And this isn’t only for fun; there’s a wealth of science underlining that this diverse range of experiences actually provides the very best foundation for future learning.
Whilst structured indoor games and specific toys and learning aids can be great for developing certain mental and physical skills, unstructured play in nature engages your entire body and brain. You can think of it like the difference between using a machine at the gym and moving freely through an ever-changing obstacle course. The natural environment is unpredictable and serves up a never-ending range of new challenges. Overcoming them is a real point of pride, and learning to assess risks and take responsibility for your own little adventures is immensely empowering. It also builds your social skills, as you and your friends continually create new outdoor games and worlds together.
The physical, mental and emotional resilience you achieve by playing in nature is simply unmatched. What you learn at Seedlings & Co. will not only inspire you to take on school – it will inspire you to take on life.
