Peace of mind in a busy life

Being a parent often keeps you on your toes. But when every detail of daily logistics has been considered, things can get surprisingly easy. At Seedlings & Co., we’ve had over 13 years to hone our operations.

Straightforward enrolment

When you create an account with Seedlings & Co., you pay a $25 non-refundable enrolment fee. This includes a free bucket hat for your child and sets you up with easy daily communications through our convenient app, OWNA (see below). Reception will at this point also explain the procedure for claiming any government Child Care Subsidy (CCS) you might be entitled to.

Should you like to check on your CCS eligibility before enrolling, please just give your local centre a call, and we’ll help you do so.

Accounts & payments

Fees are payable at least one week in an advance, and you may choose to pay on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Over the first three months, fees are to be paid by direct debit. Following this period, you can also choose to pay via the Eftpos machine in the foyer.

Please note that full fees are payable until any CCS assessment has been finalised by Centrelink, and that continued CCS requires a complete attendance record (make sure to sign in and out every day and to report any reason for absence). Further, that fees are payable for sick days and public holidays, and that we require two weeks’ notice of any family holidays to grant the 50% holiday rate. Cancellation of care requires two weeks’ written notice. We are closed for a period of one week during the xmas period

Settling in

Parents and children can take their time settling in at their new centre. We encourage orientation visits before the first day – talking to your child about all the fun they will have here tends to help with separation anxiety, which is a completely normal feeling for both parents and children to have. You may also wish to linger for a while as your child gradually finds their feet over the first few days with their new friends. Should you have any apprehension about this period, please just ask one of our experienced educators for advice.

Daily comings and goings

Dropping off and picking up is quick and easy at Seedlings & Co. We employ an electronic sign-in system, and you can pre approve other people to pick up on your behalf. And should you ever need to have someone else do an emergency pick-up, simply advise the centre and we will check the photo ID of your nominated person when they arrive.

Staying informed and involved

At Seedlings & Co., we appreciate that it’s important for you to be able to follow your child’s day-to-day life at Seedlings & Co. That’s why we channel a wealth of information through the secure and easy-to-use app OWNA. Offering instant communication and an intuitive interface, OWNA virtually immerses you in your child’s learning journey:

Seedlings & Co. acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the lands from across Queensland and pays respect to the Elders – past and present – for they hold the memories, traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the state.
A better understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures develops an enriched appreciation of Australia's cultural heritage and can lead to reconciliation.
